We perform pantomimes in English and Spanish
We started out in 2010 as part of the ADAPT association (Asociación de Angloparlantes de San Pedro del Pinatar – Association of English Speakers of San Pedro del Pinatar)
Our aims have always been in line with those of ADAPT, namely the integration of the English speaking community in the town, and from the start we have made our work accessible to both English and Spanish speaking communities and have involved the local community as much as possible.
In 2011 we produced our first bilingual pantomime Cinderella and have gone on to perform a total of ten pantomimes, involving a whole variety of well-known local people and places. Our dance groups have been made up of students from English classes in local primary and language schools and all money raised has gone to charities based in San Pedro.
We have also visited the town’s primary and infant schools with two shows “Always look on the bright side of life” and “Animal Antics”.
At the end of 2021 the ADAPT association disbanded and the ADAPT THEATRE GROUP was born as an independent entity. Our aim is to continue performing for the local community, to work for integration and to give what we can back to the town that has become our home.
We always welcome new members, both actors and people who can help back-stage with props, scenery and costumes, so please get in touch if you are interested in joining in.
